Friendship has the power to change how we see the world.
For more than six decades, the Delegation for Friendship Among Women has brought women together across borders, cultures, professions, and generations. What began as an opportunity to build understanding through international exchange has grown into something even more meaningful: a community of women who believe that listening, learning, and friendship can create lasting connections in an increasingly complex world.
Our journeys are about much more than the places we visit. We meet women where they live and work—leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, advocates, physicians, community members, and women whose stories may be very different from our own. We ask questions. We share experiences. We discover what we have in common. And often, somewhere along the way, strangers become friends.
That personal connection is at the heart of what we do.
At a time when the world can feel increasingly divided, we believe there is tremendous value in sitting across the table from someone, hearing her story, and taking the time to understand her perspective. Our Delegations create those opportunities for meaningful conversation and cultural exchange—building bridges one relationship at a time.
We are proud of the women who have carried this mission forward over the years and of the thousands of women around the world who have welcomed our Delegates into their communities. Their generosity, curiosity, courage, and friendship continue to inspire us.
As we look to the future, we invite new generations of women to join us. Whether through an international Delegation, a local connection, or simply a willingness to learn from someone whose life is different from your own, there are countless opportunities to make a difference.
