Delegation for Friendship Among Women sends delegations abroad to learn about and understand the countries we visit, recommending organizations to meet with and arranging introductions that range from heads of state to grassroots women's groups making a difference on the ground.
Albania | Kosovo
In 2025, our delegation traveled through Kosovo and Albania to meet with the remarkable women shaping the region; government ministers, a former President, entrepreneurs, artists, and grassroots leaders fighting for gender equality and against domestic violence, often with far fewer resources after the loss of USAID funding. From a cooperative that turned wartime loss into a thriving export business to engineers building ambulances for Ukraine, we found extraordinary resilience and hope everywhere we went, and came home inspired to help tell their stories and keep these friendships alive.

Poland
Poland was chosen largely because of the Delegation’s desire to learn and experience more about the war in Ukraine, to meet with organizations that are helping refugees and to meet with some of the women and children refugees. We all were emotionally touched by what we learned and impressed by the courage these women have.
