Holly Jobe, "Final Video Mongolia and article request" email on 5/2/2017
Hi Everyone,
I finally have decent internet and a little time to catch up and have posted our final dinner video on You Tube. The link is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUA0V6LzSaI
...
Also, attached is an article I prepared for the next newsletter which will come out after the May board meeting. It is asking for contributions for Oyuna’s sister’s NGO that focuses on water quality in northern Mongolia. We have a new delegate who will be seeing Oyuna in July and who will take the funds. If you are interested in contributing, please send a check to Mary Pomeroy (address in article) and Jill will be sending a tax letter for your contribution. Many thanks!
Happy Spring!
Holly

Dear Delegates,
I hope you arrived home without any major incidents. I also hope you have nothing but good memories of your time in Mongolia.
I want to thank you for your cooperation and cheerfulness throughout the trip, even when you were tired or sick. What a strong team of women! We have all made new friends, I hope you stay in touch personally.
Many, many thanks to so many for taking on an extra job. The Connecticut crew did a stellar job of connecting with counterparts, thank you!
And briefly;
Thanks to Linda for organizing the gift giving and handling the blog.
Thanks to MMK for handling the honorariums, tips, and the Mary Pomeroy Award.
Thanks to Kim for being 'round-up' queen. Although, from what I observed, most Delegates were on time in the morning and reframed from 'oozing' except when it came to shopping.
Thanks to Tanya for being our official photographer.
Thanks to Cathi for the stellar job of organizing invitees to our dinner.
Thanks to Diane who helped with the blog and the final dinner.
The biggest thanks goes to Holly, really the co-chair in the Delegation Mongolia trip. She attended all meetings with Nomadic Expedition, worked with me in planning the itinerary, chaired the counterpart committee, was responsible for anything that had to do with technology. Holly is a good friend, we hashed out every detail together, her ideas were a major part of this trip.
Thank you Holly.
Moving forward, please respond to Tanya's request for 25 of your best photos. Consider one or two that might be a photo no one else may have seen. As you review your pictures, do send ones of individuals to that person. A collection of excellent photos will be handy if you decide to do a presentation or write an article on Mongolia. I hope we are all able to spread the word about Mongolia. Thanks Tanya for doing this project.
Please write a thank you note to your counterpart. Terrific if you can stay in touch with your new friend!
As you plan follow ups please let Cathi know so she can post in our Newsletter. Please also cc me. I'll try to compile results and have Patti list results in the member section of our website.
Holly will be sending you a short evaluation form to fill out. Please do ASAP and get it back while the trip is still fresh for you.
I arrived in Bangkok very late last night. It felt good to sleep in this morning then treat myself to a Thai massage. During the massage I drifted off to the broad views of the Gobi and realized how blessed I was to be there with 17 wonderful women!
Thank you and lots of hugs from me.

Dear Delegates,
From Mongolia I went to Bangkok to meet my daughter to shop for silver jewelry for her stores. The days were long, starting at 8:00am, finishing up usually at 7:00pm. We spent 10 days doing shopping (I often thought of how much you would have enjoyed the shopping!), flew home on Tuesday. Wednesday I drove to Maryland to babysit, arrived back in Philadelphia Saturday.
Through all these travels I have been carrying, unread, your beautiful notes. This morning it finally felt like the right time to read your notes. Wow! It was like gorging on a giant chocolate cake, sweet and filling! Thank you for your beautiful, creative notes! What a joy to slowly unfold each creation, read your learnings and take in your rich gratitudes. I feel very full, thank you!
In reflection of the trip, you were the best group of Delegates ever! You were very cooperative, supporting me, helping each other. You were always flexible when changes occurred, as they seemed to do daily. You were on time, reframed from 'oozing' and always cheerful. Thank you for your enthusiasm, openness, curiosity and cheerfulness, everything seems to work better with happy people!
Thank you for arriving so well prepared. I was proud of the intelligent, thoughtful questions asked at meetings, you obviously knew your stuff. The Counterpart process was a new concept for the Delegation, you hopped right on developing friendships with Mongolian women. They clearly enjoyed the connection with you and your efforts at networking. I am thrilled with the success of the Counterpart practice and plan to work on developing it further thanks to your success and feedback.
With the job participation of so many Delegates, Kim, Cathi, Linda, Tanya, MMK, and majorly Holly, my job was much easier. Thanks for your help, it takes a positive, cooperative team to keep things running smoothly and on track.
Your Mongolian Moments were well researched and cheerfully presented, another new element in the Delegation itinerary. Thank you for doing this. I am sad Judy's excellent report on music was never reported. Judy, would you please send your report to us, we will then get it on the blog.
You may remember our first stop on our itinerary was the Gandan Monastery Temple. Here we were to be blessed for our trip. I think we were very blessed for the surprises that occurred were, I feel, all good surprises! From the surprise friendship with Oyungerel and Jeff, the extra day in the Gobi, dinning under the Flaming Cliffs, eating pizza with a movie star!
Thank you for being the best Delegates ever! Do stay in touch and let's do it again in a year or two!
Beth
