Mongolia Trip Deposit Information
Feb 6, 2016
Dear Delegates,
We are very excited about Mongolia. To review, we have been to the US State Department and the Mongolian Embassy twice. The State Department has arranged a meeting with Ambassador Galt and, hopefully a reception at the Embassy. The Mongolian Embassy has arranged for us to meet with Hon. Oyungerel Tsedevdamba, a member of parliament and president of the National Democratic Women's Organization. Do google her, she is amazing!
Thanks to Carol Heen we have been connected to Jack Weatherford. Jack, an anthropologist and author of several books highly recommend on our reading list, has agreed to meet with us if he is in Ulaanabaatar. And this, we feel is just the start of meeting with interesting people and institutions.
Holly Jobe is collecting resumes and statements of interest from each Delegate to create a digital packet of Delegates. All the above have agreed to review the packets, along with Nomadic Expedition, to assist in developing counterparts for each Delegate.
So if you have been on the fence about participating in this Delegation trip, I hope our early connection will entice you. You have an opportunity to view a part of the world rarely traveled, inhabited primarily by nomadic people living in a vast, unspoiled landscape.
